Seventeen of the 25 bands that entered the competition passed along Station Hill before rejoining the other bands at Bank Hall X Roads.
Walk Holy, the first band to pass around 9:20 a.m., entertained the crowd with their choreographed routine done to a version of the popular Christian song Trading My Sorrows.
After waiting half an hour for the rest of the bands to come, the Blue Box Cart band compensated the restless onlookers by mingling and dancing with the spectators that lined Station Hill.
Although they had security on the road, the revellers did not stay in formation and scattered along
the streets.
However, other bands such as Baje International, Cable & Wireless Contact and Berger Boyz insisted
that their members remained behind the security rope in order to prevent other people from infiltrating.
The reveller and onlookers alike enjoyed the live music that was provided by the bands.
Popular acts such as Mikey, Adrian Clarke and krosfyah were featured on the Cable & Wireless Contact band while Square One provided live music for Sand Dollars. (LW)
