Town hall meeting on African snails

RESIDENTS OF VALLEY LAND, St George, and surrounding districts have been invited to a town hall meeting tomorrow to discuss the eradication of the giant African snail in their community.

It is slated for 7 p.m. at the Valley Resource Centre. According to consultant with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, David Walrond, the meeting is in preparation for an upcoming snail hunt in the area.

Residents of Valley Land and its environs have been urged to "attend this important meeting, aimed at curbing the further spread of this niggling pest". (BGIS)
