Upset about late salaries at my job
Published on: 11/19/08.
Dear Christine,
I AM writing to you because we have a serious problem. It is happening in a Company which opened its doors some years ago.
At first everything was OK - we used to consider ourselves "Simply the best" and we were; then along came this lady who joined the company. She flirts with the big-ups but is slow in paying us our money. Often we have to wait until it suits her to pay us. She has the general manager wrapped around her finger. Things are getting from bad to worse.
Recently she had some supervisors dismissed from the company because of the lies she told on them.
We are planning to take our case to the labour union. She threatened us that if we joined the Union we would be dismissed.
Christine we need our job. We need to get our salaries on time. We have children to take care of. Why should we be made to suffer for so long.
There is so much more I can say but this is enough for you to see how unhappy we are with things as they are because of this person.
Hurt Employees
Dear H.E.,
Is there no one over this lady who can share your concerns with? What about the General Manager? He would hardly condone the things that are done and those not done ... and what about seeking help from the labour office? Instead of enduring the things that are hurting, you must submit your concern to someone who is her senior. Talk to someone in the Labour Department.
CHRISTINE
