THE CUTHBERT MOORE PRIMARY SCHOOL in St George is doing its part to contribute food, toiletries and clothing for the Haiti Relief Project.
Principal Eudora Mascoll explained yesterday that students and their parents donated products which would be sent weekly to Haiti's consulate in Salter's, St George.
In December, the children are expected to bring a wrapped gift to be sent to the children of Haiti.
Haiti suffered severely after it was pounded by hurricanes Fay, Gustav, Hanna and Ike with little time to recover.
Ten-year-old Ebony Brook said the donations were a gift to Haiti on behalf of the school.
"We know the terrible damage done to Haiti and we feel very sorry, so we presented these gifts," she said.
Mascoll said this was not the first time that the school which has a roll of 346, had come to the aid of the region. In 2005, a similar programme was carried out for Grenada which was devastated by Hurricane Ivan.
